Their next single, 'Viva La Vida,' went on to be their most successful release to date and their first to top the U.S. In 2019, Global Citizen announced that Coldplay would perform at Global Goal Live: The Possible Dream in 2020. The band announced their eighth studio album would be a double album titled Everyday Life, despite previously hinting that A Head Full of Dreams would be their final studio album. The album was released & was marked by a double concert in Amman, Jordan & was performed at sunrise and sunset, corresponding with the subtitles of the album's two halves.
