Sam Smith became famous when his single 'Latch' hit the eleventh spot on the 'UK Singles Chart.' His fame as a singer grew with his subsequent single 'La La La' with music from 'Naughty Boy' the next year. Smith’s singing style encompasses several genres such as pop, soul, R&B and others. He has a huge fan following on various social networking sites such as Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
Smith’s debut album titled 'Lay Me Down' was released in February, 2013 while his single 'La La La La' attained the top spot in the 'UK Singles Chart' that year. Smith released his first EP titled 'Nirvana,' also in 2013 consisting of four tracks 'Safe With Me', ' Nirvana', Latch and 'I've Told You.' In 2015, Smith recorded another collaboration with the Disclosure, 'Omen,' which was ultimately released on Caracal. Smith has received the honor to be chosen to record the theme for a James Bond film. The lead song from Smith's second release, 'Too Good at Goodbyes,' went to number one in the UK. With longtime partners Jimmy Napes and Steve Fitzmaurice, Smith spent much of 2016 and early 2017 producing their follow-up album in the studio.
