A Sweet Song About Love

Danish multi-instrumentalist Brian Batz makes whispery, otherworldly post-rock under the stage alias Sleep Party People. The project's home-recorded, eponymous debut saw release in 2010. The third album Floating from 2014, featured co-producers and guest musicians.

Sleep Party People is the brainchild of singer/songwriter/pianist Chris Batz. Batz began uploading eerie, introspective songs as Sleep Party People in 2008. His third album, Floating, was produced by Jeff Saltzman of the Killers. His fifth album, Lingering, Pt. 2, was released by Joyful Noise Recordings in 2018, with a vinyl edition released in 2019. His debut for U.S. label Joyful noise Recordings & has collaborated with Beth Hirsch, among others.
