Joel Zimmerman, more commonly known as deadmau5, is one of the most popular creators of modern-day electronic music in the world, instantly recognizable with his signature oversized mouse helmet. He has released seven critically acclaimed albums, achieving international chart success with his platinum-certified single ‘Ghosts 'n' Things’ and ‘Professional Griefers,’ ‘Sofi Needs A Ladder’ and ‘I Remember.’ He shows a range of styles in his works, blessed with outstanding electronics skills, and includes multiple forms of electronic music. He has collaborated on a variety of releases with many well known DJs and producers. Nominated six times for the Grammy Awards, deadmau5 is well-known for his iconic helmet and popular live performances.

He adopted the name deadmau5 after finding a dead mouse in his computer as a teen & had started his career in Web design and animation before becoming a DJ. Deadmau5's debut studio album 'Get Scraped' was released in 2005. It represented his early musical style. He re-released his compilation album 'Stuff I used to do' in 2017 with 'Messages from Nowhere.' Deadmau5 collaborated with DJ and record producer Kaskade in the U.S. on 'Move for Me.' The song reached No. 1 on the Dance / Mix Show Airplay chart of Billboard magazine. He started his own record label, mau5trap, in 2007. Mau5trap, along with Ministry of Sound and Ultra Records, released ‘Random Album Title’, his third studio album, which was his breakthrough album. Known for his live sets and highly produced stage set-ups, he is also an avid video gamer, contributing to soundtracks for Grand Theft Auto, Need for Speed, and more.
