José Bezerra da Silva (February 23, 1927 in Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil – January 17, 2005 in Rio de Janeiro) was a Brazilian singer and songwriter samba musician of the partido alto style.
In the beginning, it was dedicated mainly to the coconut until becoming one of the main exponents of samba in the following years. Through the samba, he sang the social problems of the favelas and the marginalized population, acting in the marginality and music industry.
