Shruti Pathak is an Indian playback singer and lyricist known for her work in the Hindi film industry. Born and brought up in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, Pathak moved to Mumbai after finishing her education, to pursue a career in singing. Pathak’s tryst with music began early in life and she started training in classical under her, guru Shree Divyang Thakkar at a very young age. Pathak started her career by lending her voice to various remix albums. Pathak became a household name after her performance in the song, ‘Mar Jawa’ from the 2008 hit film, Fashion. The song also earned her nominations at the Filmfare, and the Screen Awards. She’s also penned down lyrics and sang, ‘Payaliya’ for the film Dev.D. Pathak has made an appearance in all three seasons of MTV’s Coke Studio, India, and on the fourth season of MTV Unplugged composer duo, Sachin - Jigar.
