Mani Sharma is an Indian composer, singer, arranger, multi-instrumentalist and music producer known for his work mainly in Telugu and Tamil cinemas, along with Hindi and Kannada films. His works are well known for the fusion of Indian classical music with electronic music, world music and traditional orchestra.
S.P. Balasubrahmanyam and K.S. Chithra have recorded a number of Mani Sharma’s song compositions. He has scored music for over 200 films in Telugu, Tamil and several other South Indian languages. Sharma was the music director for films such as Choodalani Vundi, Kushi, Indra, Raagam, Athadu, and Pokiri. His most successful compositions are Preminchukundam Raa, Samarasimha Reddy, Rajakumarudu, Annayya, Kushi, Indra, Okkadu, Balu ABCDEFG, Chiruta, Kantri, and Parugu. Sharma’s father is a violinist, Y.N. Sharma.
