One of the most accomplished and successful film music composers and singers in India, Immanuel Vasanth Dinakaran, better known by his screen name D. Imman - primarily works in the Tamil film industry. The musician who made his debut in the film industry with Tamizhan in 2002, with a career spanning over 15 years has composed music for more than 100 films. Few of his most popular film credits as a composer includes ABCD, Naan Avanillai 2 and the likes. Along the way, he has won several laurels and awards including a Filmfare Award for Best Music Director for Kumki and Vijay Award for Favorite Song for Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam. His 2018 projects include Tik Tik Tik and Panjumittai. His 2019 ventures include Viswasam, Natasaarvabhowma, Bakrid, Kennedy Club and Namma Veetu Pillai. His 2020 release includes Pon Manickavel.
D. Imman has scored music for over 5000 episodes of television shows. His work was noticed by Kutty Padmini, who gave him the opportunity to work on Krishnadasi's theme song and background music & studied under music composers Mahesh Mahadevan and Adithyan. Imman composed the music for Thamizhan and Kaadhale Swasam. His first feature film was for Kutty Padmini. The soundtrack also features the voices of lead actors Vijay and Priyanka Chopra. D. Imman's next successful album was for Sundar C's masala film starring Arjun, Giri. The positive reviews that his work in Mynaa received prompted bigger offers for Imman. He has subsequently collaborated with Prabhu Solomon for the rest of his trilogy of romantic films, earning acclaim.
