McBriare Samuel Lanyon "Mac" DeMarco is a Canadian singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer. His style of music has been described as "blue wave" and "slacker rock", or by DeMarco himself "jizz jazz".
DeMarco has released six full-length studio albums, his debut Rock and Roll Night Club (2012), 2 (2012), Salad Days (2014), Another One (2015), This Old Dog (2017), and Here Comes the Cowboy (2019). After graduating from high school in Edmonton in 2008, DeMarco became a backing musician and moved to Vancouver. He released his first self-produced album, Heat Wave, which sold out its 500-unit run, as a part of the garage-noise/punk rock project Makeout Videotape in 2009. He started recording as a solo artist in 2011 and released a four-track recorded LP titled Rock and Roll Night Club in 2012. The follow-up album 2 also received well by critics. On April 1, 2014, DeMarco launched his album, Salad Days and the next year released another two album titled Another one and Some Other Ones respectively. In 2017, DeMarco released his third studio album, This Old Dog. On May 10, 2019, he released his fourth studio album Here Comes the Cowboy.
