Siddharth Sriram, popularly known as Sid Sriram, is an Indian-American artist who works mainly in the Tamil and Telugu music industry, as well as in some Malayalam film productions. His musical skills were nurtured by his mother, Latha Sriram, a music teacher in the San Francisco Bay Area. At the same time, he started picking up R&B. Sriram performs at several Carnatic concerts, including as part of the December Music season-Marghazhi Utsavam.
Sriram graduated from Berklee College of Music with a degree in Music Production and Engineering, where he began to explore and create his own sound. Sid Sriram's music makes a brazen cross-section where Pop/Soul, his Indian Classical roots and alternative/ambient music converge vibrantly. He's been on a roll ever since A.R. Rahman introduced him to playback through Adiye. Chartbusters such as Ennodu nee, Thalli pogathey, Maacho & Visiri helped him climb high in the musical sky. He's also a regular on Chennai's classical music circuit, performing with his band, and making his own music, mainly English numbers.
