An up-and-coming rapper and producer who died sadly before he was 20, Speaker Knockerz was born to Derek McAllister. Young Derek fell in love with hip-hop and made music with his PC because of his father, Derek McAllister, Sr., who'd been a former musician himself.
Speaker Knockerz made his debut with Flight Delayed on a mixtape. A year later, he sold one of his beats to Meek Mill, then Gucci Mane bought Speaker Knockerz beat for his track 'Re-Up.' Knockerz 's work as an MC took off when he uploaded the cut 'Weekend' in 2012, and 2013 saw him hit the track 'Lonely' plus his 'Rico' trilogy, a gangsta rap tale told more than three songs. McAllister sent deals from record labels and MCs when he was found dead in his garage on March 6, 2014. The 19-year-old died of natural causes — a heart attack — because the Richland County Coroner found no evidence of drugs or foul play.
