Known as ‘The Dandiya King’ and ‘The God of Folk Singing’, Kirtidan Gadhvi is an Indian singer from Gujarat. Born and raised in Valvod, Gujarat, Gadhvi received his Bachelor’s and Masters in Performing Arts in music from the esteemed Faculty of Performing Arts, M.S. University, Vadodara. Known for his dayras, folk songs, and classical nuances, Gadhvi’s made his debut in 2015 at a cow protection rally in Jamnagar which raised Rs. 45 million. A four-time Global Mirchi Music Award Winner, his most popular song to date has been the soulful track, ‘Laadki’ which he performed with Sachin-Jigar and Rekha Bhardwaj for MTV’s Coke Studio in April 2015. Gadhvi has since moved to Bhavnagar and has been practicing as a music teacher.
