Kaytranada You Re The On

Born Louis Kevin Celestin, In the early 2010s, producer Kaytranada arrived with ear-perking remixes and an assortment of sounds that shimmered from J Dilla-inspired hip-hop rhythms to distinctly woozy house grooves. Numerous commissioned works and short-form solo releases led to a full-length Haitian-Canadian debut of 99.9%, winner of the 2016 Polaris Music Prize and the 2017 Juno Electronic Album of the Year award. He has released his second LP, Bubba, since the signing with the major-label RCA.

Kaytranada started with the EP Todo and the three-track 10 "At All. In 2014, he remixed Disclosure's 'January,' recorded 'My Block' for personal heroes, Mobb Deep. He made his XL label debut that August with 'Leave Me Alone,' a collaboration with vocalist and Montreal-born fellow Shay Lia. Kaytranada's debut album, 99.9%, was released in 2016 & won a Polaris Music Prize. Bubba, his second proper album, was released the following December. An EP co-starring Ty Dolla $ign and Shay Lia, Nothin Like U/Chances, is his second for RCA; and has been seen working with the likes of Gorillaz, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, and Anderson.
