Steven Wilson is a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and bandleader. He made a gradual transition from cult status with Porcupine Tree. Wilson is an in-demand producer and remix engineer. He's engineered chart-topping albums by Marillion, Opeth, and a dozen more. The self-taught technical facility in recording studios has made him a sought-after producer.
Pete Wilson has released five solo albums since 2008. Porcupine Tree is his fifth solo album for Caroline. He has worked with the likes of Marillion frontman Fish and King Crimson's Mikael Åkerfeldt. His solo album To the Bone was his first for Caroline, which was released in May 2016. It's the first of four pre-release videos featuring Israeli vocalist Ninet Tayeb, one of Wilson's collaborators for the track 'Pariah.' The album is Wilson's first solo release for the label since 2004. He previously played in Altamont, Karma, Pride of Passion and Karma, and in art pop outfit No Man. He also has a successful solo career as a solo artist and with Porcupine Tree, with hits like 'Refuge' and 'Permanenting.'
