Panipat-born Asees Kaur is an Indian singer known for tracks ‘Dildara Reprise’ from Tamanchay and ‘Makhna’ from Drive among others. Kaur started her music journey at the age of 5 when she started singing religious Punjabi hymns as a kid setting her on a track that got her where she is now. She trained under Ustad Puran Shahkoti from Jalandhar. Her version of the Gurbani was released in India and she garnered tremendous appreciation for the same. Kaur participated in a Punjabi reality show ‘Awaz Punjab Di’ following which she made her way to Bombay to kick off her career. She later appeared on Indian Idol briefly and later went on to work with the likes of Vishal-Shekhar for ‘Deedar De’ from Chhalaang, trio Shankar-Eshaan-Loy for ‘Dil Ne Kaha’ and ‘Woh Hi Raat from Panga.
