Trie Utami Sari or also known as Trie Utami or Iie is the former singer of the group Krakatau, she joined the group Rumpies since the late 2000s.
Together with Krakatau, Iie made her first album in 1986 titled First Album. Nevertheless, Iie's name began to be known when she won the Prambors Youth Song Creation Contest (1987) singing the song "Keraguan", by Edwin Saladin and Adelansyah . Iie also won the Indonesian Popular Song Singer Festival in 1989. Besides participating in the domestic competition, Iie also tried out the competition abroad. Among them, runners up in the Golden Kite World Song Festival ABU (Asia Pacific Broadcasting Union) in Kuala Lumpur in 1990 and the Grand Prix Winner at The Golden Stag International Singing Contest in Brasov , Romania (1992). She was also named the winner of the ABU International Anthem in Bangkok (2000), and was chosen as the Best Female Jazz Singer in the Music version of the same year. Trie Utami was increasingly recognized by the public about his presence as a jury at the Indosiar Fantasy Academy which gained considerable popularity in 2004-2006 and was nicknamed Miss Pitch Control. Now, he is still a judge at AFI 2013.
