Bio
Tulipa Ruiz Chagas (born October 19, 1978), also known mononymously as Tulipa, is a Brazilian singer-songwriter and artist. She self-describes her musical style as "forest pop".
Life & Career
While studying at PUC, in São Paulo, Tulipa participated in several bands and projects, until in a show of Pochete Set (band formed by Tulipa, Luiz Chagas and Gustavo Ruiz), she was invited to have a solo presentation. Then came the songs recorded in her home studio, Myspace. Tulipa Ruiz‘s song "Efêmera" is part of the soundtrack of EA Sports FIFA 11 game. In 2015 Tulipa Ruiz released her third studio album titled Dancê, which is based on a more dancing pop sound. The album was nominated for a Latin Grammy.
