Bio

Niles Hollowell-Dhar is known by his stage name KSHMR. The California-based producer first found success as part of the pop-rap duo the Cataracs. He has released dozens of singles, including collaborations with Tiësto, Hardwell, and R3hab. KSHMR's electro-house is heavily influenced by his Indian heritage.

Life & Career

KSHMR wrote a diss track against Singer-Vine, but they ended up becoming close friends and formed The Cataracs, signed with Universal Records in 2010, and they wrote and produced Far East Movement's chart-topping hit 'Like a G6.' He decided to end the Catarac's in 2014, and began anonymously producing EDM under the name KSHMR. KSHMR debuted in February with the single 'Megalodon,' and has since released several more singles. He performed at the Ultra Music Festival in 2015, where he was introduced by Tiësto. His 2017 performance with Timmy Trumpet was his first to be performed entirely with live musicians, and his first time playing with live music. KSHMR is currently ranked at number 23 on DJ Mag's annual Top 100 DJs poll, and performed at Tomorrowland music festival in 2016. The Lion Across the Field EP was released in May 2016, and KSHMR performed on the mainstage of Tomorrowland's Music Festival shortly after. The single 'Karate' (with R3hab) charted in Belgium and France, and moved up to number 12 on the annual DJ Mag poll.
