Beck is often credited with giving Generation X an anthem with 1994's 'Loser.’ He was born to a mother with ties to Andy Warhol's Factory & a musician father. Dabbling in funk, lovelorn acoustic and even Tin Pan Alley sheet music, Beck became one of the most influential songwriters of the 1990s and early 2000s & has been releasing music that often transcends time and even genre!

Life & Career

Beck grew towards hip-hop and folk in his teens and began to perform locally at coffeehouses. Became known for creating musical collages of wide genre styles. Beck released his first major album - Mellow Gold in 1990. Two of his most popular and acclaimed recordings are Odelay and Sea Change, both were ranked on Rolling Stone list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. The four-time platinum artist has collaborated with several artists and has made prominent contributions to soundtracks.
