Alizée Jacotey, known professionally as Alizée, is a renowned French singer, dancer, and voice actress who has left an indelible mark on the French Pop and mainstream music industry. Born and raised in Ajaccio, Corsica, Alizée's meteoric rise to fame started in 1999 after a triumphant performance in the talent show Graines de Star, which led to her discovery by Mylène Farmer.

Her collaboration with Mylène Farmer and Laurent Boutonnat resulted in a series of music albums that gained immense popularity, pushing the boundaries of lyrical content and imagery in mainstream music and Britain alike. Her musical masterpieces quickly found their place on popular platforms like TikTok Music, NRJ, Europe 1, MTV, Virgin Radio, and many others, reinventing the musical scape not just in France, but all over the globe.

Throughout Alizée's flourishing career, numerous songs like 'Moi... Lolita,' 'L'Alizé,' 'J'en ai marre!,' 'Gourmandises,' and her cover version of 'La Isla Bonita' have consistently held positions in top 25 hit lists on international record charts.

As per the IFPI and SNEP, Alizée is rated as one of the best-selling female French artists of the 21st century. She made her grand entrance into the music industry in 2000 and has since launched six studio albums. The first two albums were composed by Laurent Boutonnat and penned by Mylène Farmer, which turned out to be groundbreaking pieces of music.

Alizée initially made headlines with her debut album 'Gourmandises,' which achieved Platinum certification within three months of its release. Following its international launch in 2001, 'Gourmandises' turned out to be a massive success both in France and abroad, claiming the title of the highest-selling female French singer in 2001 for Alizée.

Alizée's second album, 'Mes courants électriques,' followed in 2003. Post-its release, Alizée performed in 43 concerts across France, Belgium, and Switzerland during the fall of 2003

Alizée continued her victorious musical journey with the release of her fourth album titled 'Une enfant du siècle' in March 2010. Early in 2011, she recorded a duet with Alain Chamfort for his new album 'Elle & lui.'

She pushed her artistic boundaries with the release of her fifth studio album, '5,' in March 2013. The album includes the two hit songs 'À cause de l'automne' and 'Je veux bien.' She also collaborated with Olly Murs on the single 'Dear Darlin'.'

Following her success in 'Danse avec les Stars,' Alizée dropped her sixth album which was in collaboration with Pascal Obispo. Amid mixed reviews, it was not successful in terms of sales.But Alizée’s musical journey continues. She is without a doubt a remarkable force in the music industry, a force that continues to redefine French Pop and European music.
