"Light My Fire" was the first big hit for The Doors, and it helped to establish them as one of the premier psychedelic rock bands of the late 1960s. Written by keyboardist Ray Manzarek, the song's memorable organ riff and Jim Morrison's provocative lyrics made it an instant classic. #BehindtheMusic
One of if not the most influential and incredible psychedelic rock songs of all time. The doors were a band full of geniuses and riders on the storm shows exactly what they could construct at their best. This masterpiece brings back wonderful memories of travelling around Australia in a campervan with my family. My dad only had 1 CD and it was LA woman. You can bet I heard riders on the storm so many times but I could never get sick of it ❤️❤️
"People Are Strange" was written by The Doors' frontman Jim Morrison and guitarist Robby Krieger in 1967. The song explores themes of isolation and feeling like an outsider, which was a common sentiment among the counterculture of the time. The song's haunting melody, along with Morrison's emotive vocals, make this a standout track in The Doors' discography. #BehindtheMusic
