At the age of 14, R&B vocalist and songwriter Ray J spoke on the heels of big sister Brandy about his success on television in a music career. He issued his debut Everything You Want in 1997 with his smooth vocals and youthful take on R&B. His production and lyrics also matured as he grew, following a stylistic trajectory similar to Usher. Ray J hit a chart peak in 2008 with the fourth effort, All I Feel, topping the Independent Billboard and R&B Charts. He returned with Raydemption in 2019 after a prolonged decade-long hiatus.

Ray J was born William Ray Norwood, Jr. in McComb, Mississippi. He signed with Elektra in 1995 & released Everything You Want the following year before taking a long hiatus. Ray J resurfaced in 2005 with Raydiation (2005), released on Sanctuary. 2007's All I Feel was his first solo album. The singer is known for reality TV and tabloid headlines. Raj J's comeback efforts ramped up with the release of 'Rich N Whippin' with Soulja Boy and 'Hallelujah' with Snoop Dogg.
