Akasa Singh, also known as AKASA, is famous for her song 'Kheech Meri Photo' from the 2016 Bollywood film Sanam Teri Kasam. Starting her career through reality shows, she signed with Sony Music India. Her debut pop song, 'Thug Ranjha,' reached 27mn+ views in one month and became the most viewed Indian video on YouTube in the world.

AKASA began her career in a band with Mika Singh. She was an Indian Raw Star contestant. Her mentor on the show, Himesh Reshammiya, gave AKASA a break with the song 'Kheech Meri Photo' from the 2016 movie Sanam Teri Kasam. AKASA also competed in Amazon Prime's original reality show The Remix with DJ Skip. In 2017, AKASA, who also appeared in Being Indian's Judaai and Jugni Ji, released a duet with Ricky Martin called Vente Pa Ca. She's also produced a mashup of Ed Sheeran's Shape of You and Badshah's Mercy and posted a cover version of Zara Zara's RHTDM movie album. AKASA released her duet single 'Thug Ranjha' in 2018. The official video was the most widely watched Indian video on YouTube in the world.
