Pop-punk music group White Shoes & The Couples Company's work is inspired by Indonesian film soundtracks from the 1970s, 1960s, and even 1930s.

The members of White Shoes & The Couples Company's were college mates when they first formed the group. They released their first self-titled album under the management of Aksara Records. For their uniqueness, the band is honored as one of the best 25 bands on MySpace by Rolling Stone.
