Run It Up (Feat. Rich Homie Quan)

Rich Homie Quan is best known for his single ‘Type of Way.’ He is signed with the independent label T.I.G. Entertainment and Motown Records. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with several Atlanta artists like Young Thug and Birdman. He has been highly inspired by Dirty South rap, a subgenre of American hip hop music that emerged in the southern U.S. Initially music was just a hobby for him, and he never thought that he would become famous as a rapper.

In 2012, Rich Homie Quan released his debut mixtape, 'I Go In On Every Song'. His first single, 'Difference' was also released in 2012 from his mixtape, 'Still Going In'. 'Still, Goin In' (reloaded) was named the 10th best mixtape of 2013 by 'Rolling Stone.' He toured with rapper Trinidad James and featured on Gucci Mane's album' Trap House III' on songs like 'Can't Trust Her', 'I Heard', and 'Chasin' Paper'. In August 2013, Def Jam Recordings released Quan's single 'Type of Way'. Y.G. had featured Quan on the song 'My Nigga’ along with Young Jeezy. The song peaked at No.19 on the Hot 100. He also featured on the song 'Extra' in 2 Chainz' second studio album 'B.O.A.T.S. II: Me Time.' His next mixtape called 'I Promise I'll Never Stop Going In' was launched. That year, Michigan State Spartans football team adopted 'Type of Way' as an anthem. Rich Homie Quan featured in the mixtape, called 'Rich Gang: Tha Tour Pt. 1.' In 2016, he featured on Dae Dae's song 'Big Bankroll'. March 2017 saw the release of the single 'Replay,' which appeared on the Back to the Basics mixtape, his debut release for Motown. Led by the singles 'Change' and '34,' Quan's debut album, Rich in the Spirit, was released in March 2018.
