William Almeida Araújo chose the first and last letter of his name to create his nickname, MC WM.

MC WM began his funk as a DJ and started acting as MC in 2007, when he formed, in the south of São Paulo, the Bonde do Iporanga - along with MC Puga and MC Menor.
