William Almeida Araújo chose the first and last letter of his name to create his nickname, MC WM.

MC WM began his funk as a DJ and started acting as MC in 2007, when he formed, in the south of São Paulo, the Bonde do Iporanga - along with MC Puga and MC Menor. With the recognition of his work, he joined the team of Play Producer and has achieved prominence on YouTube's Kondzilla channel with creations such as "Recalque Bugou", "Só Bumbum Que Desce" and "Bumbum Balançante". MC WM is one of the biggest names in Brazilian funk, he is the owner of Funk's most famous hits such as "Fuleragem", "Pampuda", "Rabetânia", "Transariano", "Grave Faz Bum" and others.
