Contemporary R&B singer, songwriter, and producer Trey Songz debuted during the mid-2000s with the Top Ten R&B/hip-hop hit, 'I Gotta Make It', and swiftly followed through on its creative and commercial promise. Within the first 13 years of his career, Trey released seven albums that peaked inside the Top 20 of the Billboard 200 chart, including the chart-topping Chapter V (2012) and Trigga (2014), while 15 other headlining singles reached the R&B/hip-hop Top Ten. Ready was nominated for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance at the 2008 Grammy Awards. The following year saw Songz's highest-charting song to date, 'Bottoms Up' featuring rapper Nicki Minaj from his fourth studio album, Passion, Pain & Pleasure. In 2012, Songz released his first number one album, Chapter V, which debuted atop the Billboard 200. The album's lead single titled 'Heart Attack' was nominated for Best R&B Song at the 2013 Grammy Awards. He has sold over 25 million records worldwide in singles and albums.
