His songs are classified as R&B and pop genres . Naldo said he is not interested in "forbidden funk" , stating: "I don't even get into this universe, I don't think it needs to be that way. You can make a sound up, lively, level and without losing class."He cites Chris Brown and Kanye West as their musical influences.

In 1996 he formed a duo with his brother Lula, who had died, and began singing in bars and nightclubs in the suburb of Rio de Janeiro. In 2009 he began performing in his first solo work. That same year he released his first studio album, Na Veia. In May 2013 released a vinyl record , Benny Electric , containing his latest singles in studio versions and remixes. On November 6, 2015 he released his second studio album # Sarniô. In 2017 it signed with Universal and on May 29th it launched the EP Connections .
