Macklemore & Ryan Lewis was formed in 2008, Seattle Washington when the members, Ben Haggerty or Macklemore and Ryan Lewis met at a photoshoot. In 2009, they released their first collaborative effort in an EP titled VS. EP. In 2013, their single "Thrift Shop" began to rules Billboard 100 as their 2012 album won 4 Grammy nomination also followed by their 2016 album This Unruly Mess I've Made.
