The aliases of the Greek-Belgian brothers Dimitri and Michael Thivaios, the EDM DJ duo Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, began their musical career at a young age. From the age of 14, the pair started deejaying around their local nightclubs. A few years later became presenters on Belgium's BeatFM radio station. They left Belgium in 1999 to take part in a European tour and settled in Mallorca to develop their names on the European dance circuit before moving to Halkidiki, Greece, and then Ibiza in 2003. It was there that they made their names after they obtained residences in the famous Privilege and Space nightclubs.
Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike were resident DJs at nightclubs The End and Amnesia in Zante, Greece. Their remix of Dave Lambert & Housetrap's 'Work That Body' led to DJ stardom. They hosted the Tomorrowland EDM festival in 2010. They collaborated with Afrojack and Nervo on the smash single 'The Way We See the World.' Their debut full-length, 'Higher Place,' was released in 2015. It was the first time the duo reached the number one spot on DJ Mag's Top 100 DJ's DJ's poll. In 2016, they collaborated with Dutch production duo W&W on the single 'Arcade,' which reached number one on electronic music site Beatport's Top100 EDM songs chart, as well as number one in Belgium and France. The pair also collaborated with the American producer Diplo in October on 'Hey Baby,' a collaboration with the duo who had previously joined them at their House of Madness party in Ibiza.
