Adnan Sami Khan performs Indian and Western music, including Hindi movies. Adnan Sami is also named the 'Sultan of Music.' Sami started to take lessons from Pandit Shivkumar Sharma when he visited India during his school vacations. He was the first musician to play classical Indian music on the piano. It was Asha Bhosle who saw potential in him at the R D Burman concert in London and persuaded him to take up music as a career.
The first single by Adnan Sami, 'Run for His Life' was released in 1986. It was in English, and it was recorded for UNICEF. His first formal release, The One & Only (1989), was a classical piano album accompanied by maestro Zakir Hussain. His first vocal solo album, Raag Time, was released in 1991. In 2000, Asha Bhosle collaborated with Sami on a series of love songs called Kabhi and Nazar Milao. He soon became famous, leading Hindi filmmaker Boney Kapoor to invite him to make music for his film. Sami hosted the Indian version of the American music game Don't Forget the Lyrics! Named Bol Baby Bol on Star TV in 2008. As of 2019, Sami recorded songs for the Telugu 90ML movie. He's even been acting in several films, apart from singing.
