The personality of producer and singer Jahron Brathwaite, also known as PartyNextDoor, finds the Toronto-based artist experimenting with a broken mix of minimal hip-hop and R&B that has made natural comparisons with fellow Canadians Drake and Weekend. No stranger to the appearances himself, Brathwaite lent his vocals, songwriting, and studio skills to a handful of Drake cuts, as well as to the likes of Big Sean, Lil Yachty, Rihanna, Major Lazer and ZAYN.
Having made electronic-infused R&B under his real name, Jahron Brathwaite, at the age of 18, he signed a publishing deal with Warner / Chappell as a songwriter under the name of PartyNextDoor. His first mixtape, PARTYNEXTDOOR, was released on the iTunes Store in 2013. His debut studio album, PartyNextDoor Two, was released the following year. PARTYNEXTDOOR 3, his second studio album came out in 2016. A year later, PartyNextDoor released Colors 2 without any prior announcement followed by an EP titled Seven Days. His third full-length official, Partymobile, arrived in March 2020 and featured well-known guests such as Drake and Rihanna.
