Maliq & d'Essentials began their career in 2002 as an 8-members group, but they only hit big after performing in Jakarta International Java Jazz Festival in 2005. WIth their distinct soul music, they are able to steal hearts' of young fans with meaningful yet simplel lyrics for each of their song. After more than a decade, they have put out several albums that is still familiar to the public, especially young people.
