Bruce Frederick Joseph Springsteen has sold more than 135 million records worldwide and more than 64 million records in the United States, making him one of the world's best-selling artists.He has earned numerous awards for his work, including 20 Grammy Awards, two Golden Globes, an Academy Award, a Tony Award (for Springsteen on Broadway) and was inducted into both the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 1999. In 2009, Springsteen was a Kennedy Center Honors recipient, in 2013 was named MusiCares person of the year, and in 2016 was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom. In January and March 2019 Springsteen released his second and third live series compilation albums The Live Series: Songs of Friendship and The Live Series: Songs of Hope.On April 25, 2019 it was confirmed that Springsteen's nineteenth studio album, Western Stars, will be released on June 14, 2019. On May 25, 2019, Springsteen was in Rome to support his daughter's equestrian event and was quoted by Italian newspaper la Repubblica saying that an E Street Band album and tour will happen in 2020.
