Mila J fancied her musical styling in the same light as her singing and rapping idols TLC and Missy Elliott. With a passion for dancing and ability to write song lyrics to her singing and rapping combo, she is known for being in Prince's video for 'Diamonds and Pearls' and appearing on tracks by RaRa, IMx, Trey Songz and Omarion.
At the start of her career, Mila starred as a dancer in Prince's 'Diamonds and Pearls' video. Mila, along with her sister, formed the American R&B group Gyrl & debuted with Play Another Slow Jam in 1995. In 2005, Mila was a member of another girl group, Dame Four which disbanded after releasing a single. In the early 2000s, Mila took a hiatus from the music industry & returned with her first single, Smoke, Drink, Break-Up in 2014. She released her 13-track debut album, 'Dopamine' in 2017.
