Afgan made his breakthrough in Indonesia's music industry with "Terima Kasih Cinta" and "Sadis", making him one of Indonesia' well-considered pop singer with numerous hits.

Having a honey voice was an advantage for Afgan. He first got noticed by music producers after accidentally hearing him singing with his friends in a recording studio. Ever since, he got a deal to make his own album and appeared with Confession No. 1, an album with a mixture of pop, jazz, and R&B. His popularity does not only happen in Indonesia as the singer often hold a performance and even a concert in several foreign countries.
