Lil Nas X

Lil Nas X came to international attention for his country rap breakout single "Old Town Road", which achieved viral popularity on the video sharing app TikTok in early 2019. Moseying onto the scene with a surprise breakthrough, Atlanta's Lil Nas X merged the pastoral tones of country music with hip-hop, putting his spin on a subgenre dubbed country-trap.

In 2018 Lil Nas X starting making music. His first song tittled "Shame", was posted to SoundCloud. He continues to making music and posts it on Twitter. On December 3, 2018, he released a country rap song titled "Old Town Road". The song went viral in early 2019 due to the "Yeehaw Challenge" meme on the social media app TikTok. "Old Town Road" debuted at #83 on the Billboard Hot 100, later climbing to #1.
