Life & Career

Rodrigo Silva dos Santos was born in 1994 in the municipality of Una, south coast of Bahia. During the adolescence, it happened to reside in the city of São Paulo. He began his career as a funk singer in the year 2012, alongside Isaac Daniel Junior, MC Zaac, with whom he gave the first MC duo Zaac & Jerry. The debut song was released with the title "Nos Fluxos", but the success came with the release of the single "Bumbum Granada" in late 2015, which became the first national edition in the music charts of Spotify and of iTunes in the year 2016. The album was also found in musical stops of Paraguay, Portugal, Dominican Republic and Bolivia. Known by the refrain "vai taca, taca", the song was reproduced by other artists. However, at the end of the year 2016, the group dissolved, and both Zaac and Jerry Smith decided to pursue a solo career. Jerry Smith released two hit songs with KondZilla's production and music video, titled "Na onda do beat" and "Pode se soltar".
