EXO

EXO from South Korea performs melodic, dance-oriented pop music inspired by hip-hop and R&B. The band was originally made up of 12 members split into two subgroups. First official subgroup of the group, EXO-CBX, was founded by the trio of Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin in 2016. The group was formed by S.M. in 2011.

In 2012, EXO released several singles including 'What Is Love,' 'History' and the Mama EP. In 2013, both the Korean-language versions of 'Kiss' and Mandarin 'Hug' peaked at the top of the Billboard World Albums chart. In 2015 the band released Exodus. Tao was the 3rd member to part with EXO around this time. The group continued its promotion of the Exodus and released its first Japanese single. EXO released their fourth EP, Sing for You, before the end of the year. The group made its Japanese debut with Countdown in early 2018. EXO achieved their first hit on the U.S. charts by year's end. They kicked off 2019 with a live set and their sixth album.
