Aabha Hanjura is the founder and dynamic lead singer of the eclectic folk-pop band Sufistication. An award-winning singer, live performer, composer, and songwriter, she is a strong formidable original female voice to emerge from the country’s independent music scene was, recently, awarded as the Times Power Woman 2019,for excellence in music. Known to use folk influences to create cool pop music ,she has a viral track to her credit, Hukus Bukus,a happy upbeat song, that made it's way into India's youngest Oscar nominated director's feature film, No Father's In Kashmir. She sings in Kashmiri, Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, and Dogri, and performs using a mix of powerful originals and tributes to great poets and legends such as Amir Khusro, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Bulleh Shah and Lal Ded with her band, Sufistication.
