Throughout the mid-2010s, British singer / songwriter Maisie Peters gained a massive YouTube fanbase with her tuneful, acoustic folk-pop music and youthful charm. While Peters was 17 in 2017, her first song, ‘Place We Were Made,’ was a viral success that picked up millions of views. Her style generally leans towards acoustic pop; lead by her distinctive voice, delicate acoustic guitar and piano pair with electronic elements to create powerful, intelligent songs with a strong narrative.
A talented storyteller who penned her first song when she was nine, Maisie Peters began posting her music to YouTube in 2015, gaining fans quickly and drawing comparisons with artists like Taylor Swift, who Peters cites as an early influence. At the time the winsome 'Place We Were Made' was released in 2017, her already devoted fan base made the track go viral, resulting in massive recognition and millions of streams.
