Vidhu Prathap

Vidhu Prathap has sung several songs in over four hundred films, mainly in Malayalam and a few in Tamil, Kannada and Telugu. He is an experienced singer with many hit songs in several iconic movies and is a regular part of the most significant stage shows in Malayalam, both in India and abroad. Vidhu began taking music lessons when he was three years old and won a handful of competitions in several musical categories.

Vidhu Prathap sang for the first time in a movie called Paadamudra when he was in class IV. But his real break was in 1999 in Devadasi's film 'Pon Vasantham,' a challenging song with a classic touch. Ilayaraja introduced him to Tamil in a movie called 'Solla Marantha Kathai' (2002). Later he sang several Tamil songs, most of which became hits. He's also been trying his hands to act for a while. He appeared in a series directed by former musician-lyricist-director Sreekumaran Thampi and hosted shows such as Idea Star Singer 2006 and Surya Challenge.
