Monkey Boots

Monkey Boots is a band formed in 2004 from Jakarta, Indonesia. With the initial formation consisting of Denny, Edwin, Handaru, Indra, Adam, Akbar, Renato and Reonaldo, they have the same taste in music, namely Ska, Rocksteady and Reggae.

In 2007 Monkey Boots decided to record their own songs entitled "Jakarta" and "Beat of Ska" in a studio in Jakarta. In 2010, under the label 267 Records they released an album for the first time entitled "Big Monkey" with the single "Tundukkan Hatimu" and "Tunggulah Wait", the album which contains 10 songs was well received by listeners, even the single "Tundukkan Hatimu" “He was among the top 10 finalists for the 2012 London International Ska Festival, which is one of the biggest Ska Festivals in the international arena. In 2015 Monkey Boots decided to leave the 267 Records label and in the same year they released a second album entitled "Interaction", this album containing 11 songs marks 11 years since Monkey Boots has been established, and this album was produced by Monkey Boots himself. The launch of their second album is scheduled for March 2016, the singles for this album are "You Are" and "Takkan Bersedih". In 2016 Denny Frust left Monkey Boots and the vocal position was again filled by Edwin or Tuan Jenggo who previously was the initial vocalist of Monkey Boots. With this formation Monkey Boots released their third album entitled "Liar dan Mempesona" in 2018 with many singles released including, Towards Johar Baru, Liar and Mempesona, About Love, Dimensi, Returns Home and Hard Worker. This album received a very good response from the Big Monkey (the name for Monkey Boots listeners). At the end of 2018 Renato left and was replaced by Zildjian in the position of Saxophone.
