Jorja Alice Smith has been nominated for multiple prestigious awards, including a Grammy. Her first studio album 'Lost & Found' broke into top charts nationally and internationally. She has collaborated with artists like Kendrick Lamar, Stromzy and Drake. Jorja Alice Smith was influenced by Amy Winehouse's music while growing up and listened to a lot of reggae, pop and R&B songs which led her to start writing songs as a kid and continued to hone her skills over the years.

Life & Career

Jorja Smith started writing songs at the age of 11. Her music has R&B and reggae influence with a touch of hip-hop and pop. She released her first single 'Blue Lights' on SoundCloud in 2016, the song was noticed by popular artists like Drake who called it the hottest track of that time. Smith also released her debut extended play 'Project 11' in 2016 which earned her the fourth place on BBC Music's 'Sound of 2017' longlist. In 2018, she became the first ever independent artist to be nominated for the 'Brit Critics' Choice Award' and to win it. Her single 'Let Me Down' peaked at number three on 'The UK Independent Singles Chart. Her debut studio album 'Lost & Found' released in 2018 became an immediate success. The album with 12 tracks sold over 40 thousand copies in the UK. It was certified Silver by the 'British Phonographic Industry' (BPI Ltd) and was nominated for the 'Mercury Prize.' The young musician toured across the UK and the US to promote her album.
