Jungle is a modern soul music band. Jungle's musical style has been described as 'midtempo 1970s-style funk' and their music is interspersed with 'tropical percussion, wildlife noises, falsetto yelps, psychedelic washes and badoinking bass' The band has a formidable live reputation: 'Jungle are a spectacular live band,' says DIY.
Formed in early 2013, Jungle wasted little time & released their first singles - the hypnotic and relaxed dance grooves 'Platoon' and 'The Heat,' along with striking accompanying videos, featuring only the moves of six-year-old B-girl Terra in the former, they managed to rack up millions of plays. The band maintained a busy touring schedule, playing at festivals such as England's Glastonbury and Belgium's Dour Festival. In early 2018, shortly after they performed at Mexico's Trópico festival, they released the drifting 'House in L.A.' and grooving 'Happy Man' as first singles off their second album, For Ever.
