Bio

Vineeth Sreenivasan (born 1 October 1984) is an Indian playback singer, actor, film director, screenwriter, producer, lyricist, music composer, creative director and dubbing artist. He predominantly works in Malayalam cinema. Vineeth is son of the actor-screenwriter Sreenivasan. He made his film debut in 2003 singing the song "Kasavinte Thattamittu" from Kilichundan Mampazham, and later also worked in music albums. Vineeth made his acting debut in Cycle (2008), and since then he has acted in numerous films. His directorial debut was in 2010 with Malarvaadi Arts Club, also written by him. Vineeth's second directorial venture Thattathin Marayathu (2012) became a trendsetter and was one of the highest-grossing films of 2012. His third film was Thira in 2013, written by his cousin Rakesh Mantodi which also introduced his younger brother Dhyan Sreenivasan as an actor. Thira designed as franchise of 3 parts did only moderate business at the box office but gained large fan following in the later years and is even considered as the best work by Vineeth Sreenivasan till date. His first script for another director was Oru Vadakkan Selfie (2015), directed by G. Pajith. He also directed critically and commercially successful Jacobinte Swargarajyam (2016). His latest directorial is Hridayam (2022) which opened to overwhelming response from the audience. Vineeth established the film production house named Habit of Life and produced its debut film Aanandam in 2017.
