Ranbir Kapoor

Ranbir Kapoor is an Indian actor popular for his work in the Bollywood film industry. Born into a family of actors, Kapoor was born to veteran actors Neetu and Rishi Kapoor. He is the great-grandson of Prithviraj Kapoor and the grandson of actor-director Raj Kapoor. After working as an assistant director to director Sanjay Leela Bhansali on the 2005 film, Black, Kapoor made his acting debut in 2007 as the protagonist of the tragic romance film, Saawariya. It was his performance in Imtiaz Ali’s 2011 film, Rockstar that earned him critical acclaim. Kapoor won both the Best Actor and Best Actor (Critics) trophies at the 57th Filmfare Awards ceremony, along with Best Actor awards at Screen and IIFA. His performances in films like Barfi!, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Tamasha helped him further secure his place as one of the top leading actors in the industry. He’s also one of the highest-paid actors in Bollywood and has featured in Forbes India's Celebrity 100 list every year since 2012. In addition to acting in films, Kapoor supports charities and causes. He is also a co-owner of the Indian Super League football team Mumbai City FC.
