Bio

Kolkata-born, Tanishk Bagchi is an Indian music composer, producer, lyricist, and singer. Born to musician parents Nandakumar Bagchi and Sharmistha Das, Bagchi made his debut as a music producer alongside Aditya Dev with the song ‘Meherbani’ in 2014 for the Indian comedy film, The Shaukeens. After working as a composer and producer on some other movies, it was in 2017 when Bagchi’s remake of the popular song ‘Humma Humma’ for the movie Ok Jaanu went on to receive over 200 million views on YouTube. The same year, his song ‘Baarish’ from the movie 2 States won him the Zee Cine Song of the Year award. Baagchi also went on to win the IIFA Award for Best Music Director 2017 along with Amaal Malik and Akhil Sachdeva 2017. His recreations of songs like ‘Dilbar’, ‘O Saki Saki’ and ‘Aankh Maarey’, to name a few have gone on to be chartbusters. Bagchi is also one half of the duo Tanishk-Vayu with lyricist Vayu Shrivastav and together they’ve worked on several films. More recently, Bagchi collaborated with American producer Kshmr for the theme song of the 2020 Akshay Kumar starrer Good Newwz.
