Bio

H.E.R. was born and raised in California, and has performed music since she was a kid. Made her first big appearance as a 12-year-old kid in 'Today Show' where she backed Alicia Keys. She was later signed at the age of 14 with Sony Music & released her debut single 'Something to Prove.' She came onto the musical scene again in 2016 after taking a hiatus for a few years. She released a debut EP t named 'H.E.R. Volume 1, several artists such as Rihanna, Usher and Pusha T had spread the word around the song, making it a hit.

Life & Career

One song from the album named 'H.E.R. Vol 2 ' - 'Say it Again' was particularly successful, and peaked in the Hot R&B chart at 7th position. She released the follow-up a few months later to her second EP titled 'H.E.R. Vol 2, The B Sides' which was another hit. While releasing her own EPs, she has often sometimes worked on the projects of other artists. For his single 'Best Part,' she collaborated with Daniel Caesar, which made it to the top of the US Adult R&B Chart; RIAA has certified the album Platinum. Her songs have also featured on numerous film and TV series' soundtracks. She performed the song 'Still Down' in the second season of Netflix's original show 'Dear White People.' She had also performed on film soundtracks like 'Uncle Drew' and 'Superfly.' Her first compilation album, named 'H.E.R.' received five nominations for the Grammy Award.
